DOTHAN, AL Mar. 25. Southeast Alabama Community Theatre turns the stage over to the next generation of theatre lovers every summer. This year, even younger stars are welcome as SEACT introduces its TOTS theatre class. In addition to four regular camps for ages 6-16, SEACT hosts two weeks of camp specifically for K4-K5 students. Two camp sessions are available, and children must have completed K4 or K5 and be completely potty-trained. This camp is designed to use creative play and visual art to expand the imagination. In each of the daily sessions, campers will warm up with games, and practice "taking the words off the page" of a familiar children's story. Each camp runs Monday-Friday, 9:00 - 11:30. The children will have a "share time" with parents and friends at the end of the week.
SEACT also offers four weeks of camps for ages 6-16. In each of the daily sessions campers are taught the basics of theatre and rehearse a play to be performed before an audience of family and guests on Friday. Each camp runs Monday-Friday, 8:30-Noon. Performances begin Friday at noon. Registration is open for all SEACT summer theatre camps.
SEACT’s Summer Camps are made possible thanks to The Coleman Foundation, Five Star Credit Union, Papa John’s Pizza, Hots Deli, and SEACT Contributors through season ticket sales. Registration and more information is available at www.SEACT.com.
