NFIB: Small Business Applauds Signing of Business License Bill
MONTGOMERY, April 20, 2018--Gov. Kay Ivey has signed House Bill 107, legislation that prohibits cities from requiring businesses to have a business license before they can pass through their jurisdictions for work.
The legislation was sponsored by Rep. Paul Lee, who received an NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award in 2017.
“This was a big victory for Alabama’s small businesses,” NFIB State Director Rosemary Elebash said. When NFIB balloted its Alabama members on the issue, 81% supported the legislation, she said.
