DOTHAN:   The Houston County Farm Center, south entrance off Cottonwood Road IN NO LONGER the place to dump your recyclables.


This morning Dothan District Three Commissioner Albert Kirkland wanted the public to be aware this Houston County Farm Center IS NO LONGER a site for leaving your recyclables. It is closed.


Commissioner Kirkland said that the City of Dothan would continue for a "short period of time" in making sure that the place is clean of debris. Following that "short period of time" citations would be issued for those persons dumping waste at the Farm Center.


Signs posted read "Up to $ 500 FINE FOR DUMPING RUBBISH on the right of way".
