Noise Complaint Lands One in Jail on Drug Charges

On Sunday January 27, 2019 officers with the Marianna Police Department were dispatched to the Chipola Mart located in Marianna, FL in reference to a noise/loitering complaint. Upon arrival officers made contact with Stephenson. While speaking with Stephenson, officers could smell the odor of Marijuana coming from Stephenson and his vehicle.
When questioned about the Marijuana Stephenson handed officer’s Marijuana that was inside his vehicle. At that time Stephenson was detained. During the course of the investigation it was learned that Stephenson was in possession of a large amount of Marijuana along with other items consistent with the sale of narcotics.
Stephenson was also in possession of crack cocaine and a pair of brass knuckles. Stephenson was placed under arrest and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
