HOUSTON COUNTY: In 2017 Cathy Yvette Bolden had her life turned upside down when she was arrested by Dothan Police on four felonies.
Arrested on November 1, 2017, Bolden was charged with Possession of Marijuana, two counts of Possession/Receiving of a Controlled Substance, and one charge of altering a firearm.
Bolden could not afford to hire an attorney. She was assigned to the Honorable Butch Binford if indicted by a Houston County Grand Jury.
At the initial appearance Bolden appeared before the Honorable District Court Judge Benjamin Lewis. Bolden's finance's qualified her for a court appointed attorney.
Judge Lewis appointed her one of the best attorney's, Shaun McKee as her court appointed attorney.
McGhee is one the best criminal defense attorneys in this Circuit. He is in private practice of Smith and McGhee on West Main Street next to Justice Park. While McGhee is a contract attorney he is in high demand to be hired on a private basis as legal representatives for clients.
This week was the time for a trial. Standing on the principal of Not Guilty, Shaun MCGhee prepared the details of the case. He made the presentation to the jury of peers.
The jury decided the facts and returned four NOT GUILTY verdicts in all of the cases against Cathy Yvette Bolden.
