There are times in Law Enforcement when we have to weigh the need to know with the safety of the public. Then there are times when the public is not at risk and we withhold information because in this day and time the bad guy reads Facebook too.


If you put all your information on social media then we are tipping off the bad guy and then we can't catch him. If we can't catch him then the public is in danger. That being said on Saturday afternoon every asset we had available was called into play. Federal, State and local law enforcement and support agencies worked tirelessly through the weekend and it was brought to a resolution Sunday afternoon.


In the days that come other questions will be answered and some will not. However I do know that there are some children that have gone through something most of us will never know. Please pray for all the families that they will find peace.
