A call of a suspicious vehicle outside a Self-Storage business near Fort Walton Beach early Thursday morning led to Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies interrupting and stopping a burglary in progress.
Deputies confronted the masked burglar inside one of the buildings at 1500 Freedom Self-Storage Road. They found 35-year old James Madrid Fallon of Fort Walton Beach with rope, knives, and lock picking tools in his possession, along with pepper spray in his hand and a flashlight on a string around his neck.
They also located a pull cart and ladder he had carried into the business. Fallon is charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
His vehicle was located outside of the complex with numerous items inside. The investigation is continuing.
