One Arrested on Drug Charges

On Saturday, December 29, 2018, a Deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Old Spanish Trail, in reference to a mentally ill person. Upon the Deputy’s arrival, the subject in question, identified as William Dwayne Goodson, was observed to be very paranoid, erratic in his speech, and experiencing delusions.
While speaking with the Deputy, Goodson voluntarily produced a prescription pill bottle from his pocket and gave it to the Deputy. The bottle was found to contain a small clear baggy with a white crystal-like substance that did field test presumptive positive for the prescence of methamphetamine. Goodson was subsequently arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility, to await first appearnce.
