ENTERPRISE: According to reports from the City of Enterprise Alabama the CHRISTMAS TREE for the City of Enterprise has always been a "donated live tree".
In November the Vickers - Goolsby - Townsend "artificial" tree was delivered and set up.
Prior to the election of the Vickers, Goolsby and Townsend they pushed in "Take Back Enterprise" for transparency and fiscal responsibility in Enterprise government. Their group was constantly being critical of City government in Enterprise for their spending.
Well the "donated live Christmas tree" was not good enough for Councilman Vickers, Goolsby and Townsend.
On a motion of Councilman Vickers, second by Councilman Goolsby, the City of Enterprise bought a $ 23,059.45 "artificial" Christmas tree. Apparently they did not like having a live Christmas tree.
"TAKE BACK ENTERPRISE" has taken back Enterprise.
And in the "take back" they spent the raises to the employees in the amount of
$ 23,059.45, on a fake Christmas tree.
It is pretty. But the live donated was not good enough.
