Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention

DOTHAN: The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention Alabama chapter will be hosting the Dothan Out of the Darkness Walk ro raise awareness and funds to invest in new research, educational programs and support survivors of suicide loss.


The goal is to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.


"It's just a great opportunity to gather information and to just raise that awareness for how you can help just stop one more suicide," said Lisa Bellingrath, co-chair.


"And also everyone that loss someone is saying this is something that helps them heal, talking about it. My motto is tell your story save a life empower one another," said Roxanne Fuentes, chairman.
