Pedestrian Struck From Last Evening In Critical Condition

DOTHAN:   Last evening Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Police, Dothan Fire and Pilcher's EMS to Highway 231 South just south of Fieldcrest Apartments to a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.


When EMS and Fire arrived CPR was in progress on the victim. The female victim was transported by Pilcher Ambulance to SAMC. The victim remains in critical condition at this time.


The accident caused Dothan Police to close the southbound lanes of traffic on Highway 231. Traffic was detoured on Highway 203 pass Hunt's while Dothan Police conducted an investigation.


Dothan Police Patrol Supervisor called the Dothan CRASH Team, which is a specialized traffic investigation division of Dothan Police. The investigation also centered around where the victim resided at Fieldcrest Apartments.


The southbound side of Highway 231 is dark with almost no lighting.


Dothan Police continues to investigate the accident.
