Perry Man Arrested on Multiple Charges

On February 6, 2019, at approximately 8:30 am, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Communications Center received a call from a concerned citizen in reference to an erratic driver. The information was that a driver was on Highway 90 driving West bound close to Panhandle Road at approximately 5 miles per hour.
Upon Deputy arrival, the vehicle was found to be stopped on the shoulder of the road partially blocking Highway 90. Upon Deputy contact, the odor of an alcoholic beverage could be detected. The driver was identified as Joe Dykes. After a brief investigation, it was determined that Dykes was intoxicated. Dykes was identified by his Florida Driver's License.
His driver's license was determined to be suspended. Dykes was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
