LEE COUNTY AL:     Bradley Byrne posted on TWITTER:

TWITTER 20 MINUTES AGO FROM 7:59 PM

"Thank you to Alabama native and former @TroyTrojansFB legend @DeMarcusWare for his help following the horrific storms in Lee County. This is what our state is all about."

NFL Player DeMarcus Ware donates $ 10,000.00 to tornado victims. Ware footed the bill for the grave markers of all 23 victim's who were killed during Sunday's tornadoes. Ware was a graduate of Auburn High School.

Two days ago Bradley Byrne sent a TWITTER:

"It's ingrained in us as Alabamians to reach out and help others when natural disasters hit our state. This is what we do. This is Alabama".

Byrne was making reference to a TWITTER from Alabama Governor Kay Ivey about the Governor's Relief Fund helping and people could make donations.

NOT BEING AGAINST BRADLEY BYRNE

NOT MEANING ANY DISRESPECT TO ANYONE FOR ANYTHING ANYONE HAS DONE

First I want to express THANKS and GRATITUDE to DeMarcus Ware and all of the others that have given in time, labor, money and goods to the victims of the Lee County Tornados.

It is heartbreaking these 23 lives were loss. One lady lost 10 family members in the tornado.

People from all over have come to help.

BUT THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF POLITICIANS

AFRAID TO THANK ANOTHER BIG CONTRIBUTOR TO HELP

FAMILIES AND POLITICIANS AFRAID TO SAY THANK YOU

It might not have been Bradley Byrne's intentions to ignore the Poarch Creek Band of Creek Indians donations to the Lee County tornado victim's, but he did.

I went back on his TWITTER feed and never saw a post expressing thanks to the Indians for their donations.

Byrne's thanked DeMarcus Ware and Governor Kay Ivey. But has never mentioned the donation to the cost of the funerals, $ 184,000.00, that was made by the Poarch Creek Band of Indians.

So here is my point...

politicians are so afraid of doing what is right and how it might offend someone. Regardless of whether you agree or not the donation of the funeral costs of                  $ 184,000.00 helps these families have a proper burial for their loved ones.

These victim's have lost their loved ones and a lot of them have lost all of their belongings. But because it came from the Poarch Creek who have electronic bingo many of the so called "leaders" are afraid someone will spin it negatively.

THANK YOU to the Poarch Creek Band of Creek Indians for helping the Lee County tornado victim's. You did not have to do that but you did.

SEE, that was simple...

for the record I think the people should have a chance to vote on electronic bingo. If the Indians are allowed to be open then the other places should be also.

I do not play electronic bingo. I get bored with it. But people should be able to vote.

But more than that, acknowledge them for what they did. Do not be afraid.

People are going to be critical. It was amazing some of the comments I read when President Trump came and visited the families and those who loss everything.

The Presidential visit helps families feel like the nation care, of which they do...

A tornado struck Henry County on the southend several years ago. I was sitting at Spanish Acres as we went under the tornado warning and just remained still.

After it hit there was major damage on the southeast end of Henry County. One house I went to was completely destroyed.

When I arrived I snapped a scene picture and text it to then Alabama Governor Robert Bentley and Alabama Emergency Management Director Art Faulkner. Governor Bentley text me back asking some questions.

As Henry County Sheriff Deputy Eric Blakenship drove up in one of my text to Governor Bentley I asked do you want me to find the homeowner and let you speak to him. He replied "I sure do".

The Governor had already seen the pictures of rubble left of what was once a home. Deputy Blakenship and I went and told the home owner's son that Governor Bentley wanted to speak to him. The man replied "Governor wants to speak to me".

He replied yes, I got Governor Bentley on the phone and handed it to the man who was standing in the rubble of his once home.

Deputy Blakenship snapped a picture of the man talking to Governor Bentley while standing in the rubble. I could not find the picture for this article.

But the man who had lost everything, fortunately they were no injuries, was surprised that Governor Bentley wanted to talk to him and that he took time to talk to him. And within 30 minutes to an hour of his entire home being destroyed. But that phone call made him feel better.

So it helps just to know that the President of the United States of America took time to come to Lee County Alabama to give a hug, speak some kind words, make sure all help possible was being given.

BRADLEY BYRNE

This is not meant to be picking on him.

His TWITTER just happen to be the one I saw.

But most political leaders would do as he did and that is to think telling the Indians THANK YOU would offend some of the electorate.

Just something I wanted to point out.

I was hesitant to do this article because in no way did I want to look like the acts are political. This is a time not to be political but sincere. And that is my point.

There is a GIF going around on another group that failed to step up to the plate like the Indians. For now I am not going there.
