Please join us at the Dothan Downtown Library parking lot on Friday, October 26th 2018, from 8:00am – 1:00pm to drop off your unneeded medicines, no questions asked. This take back effort will be held in collaboration with the DEA, Dothan Police Department, and AL Extension office.

We recommend this environmentally safe disposal because flushing medicines can contaminate our waters and threaten our wildlife. Many prescriptions have special disposal needs due to their potent ingredients.


Research shows that keeping leftover medications in the home “just in case” provides a temptation for misuse, a reason for theft, and an overdose hazard for all ages.
