Press Release on Yesterday's Traffic Death in Henry County

DOTHAN POST -- A three-vehicle crash at 10:45 a.m. yesterday, Aug. 27, has claimed the life of a Dothan woman and injured three others. Kelli Marie Trammell, 41, was killed when the 2016 Honda Civic she was driving collided head on with a 2009 Nissan Murano driven by Lawrence L. Whitehurst, 70, of Enterprise.


Trammell was pronounced dead at the scene. Whitehurst and a second occupant were transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center for minor injuries. A 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was involved and the driver of that vehicle was transported to Southeast Alabama Medical Center for minor injuries.


The crash occurred on U.S. 431 five miles south of Abbeville. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
