Dothan Attorney Valerie Judah officially announced her candidacy for Circuit Court Judge Place One for the 20th Judicial Circuit during a Houston County Republican Women Meeting Thursday.
“I want everyone to know that I am firmly committed to liberty and justice for all,” Judah said. “I want everyone to understand I can relate to what their issues may be when they come before me. I will treat everyone with dignity and respect.”
Judah believes a good judge in a diverse society must have the ability to work with people from different backgrounds, life experiences and perspectives; she believes she is that person.
“Decisions that are made in court impact the lives and the quality of life in our community,” Judah said. “That is why I believe so strongly everyone should be treated with respect.”
Judah knows the importance of hard work and determination. She is a 1982 graduate of Dothan High School, and she graduated from Wallace College and Troy University. She received her law degree from Jones School of Law.
