Recreational Pond Management Program

There will be two Recreational Pond Management Workshops in the Wiregrass area conducted by Alabama Cooperative Extension System. On May 6th at the Houston County Extension Office in Dothan and on May 20th at the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center in Headland from 9:00AM to 2:00PM. Topics covered will be managing ponds for good fishing, aquatic plant control, aquatic wildlife nuisance, electrofishing and trapping demonstration, and aquatic herbicide application (approved by ADAI for pesticide points). The registration fee is $15 which includes lunch. Contact the Houston County Extension Office to pre-register for the program in Dothan at 334 794-4108 or the Henry County Extension Office for the program in Headland at 334 585-6416.
