Rehobeth Rescue Suffering For Management And Not Fulfilling Their Obligations To Provide Service

HOUSTON COUNTY/REHOBETH:    At 1:44 AM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched medical emergency to Rehobeth Rescue at Paisleigh Park located at 4537 County Road 203.

No one from Rehobeth Rescue answered when paged. After several attempts Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Pilcher Ambulance.

At 1:47 AM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched a medical emergency to Rehobeth Rescue at Center Stage on Highway 231 in reference to a seizure. 

No one from Rehobeth Rescue answered when paged. After several attempts Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Pilcher Ambulance.

On Saturday about 2:30 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Rehobeth Rescue to a three car wreck on Highway 231 at Sadie’s Flea Market.

After several attempts and no response Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Pilcher Ambulance. 

Rehobeth Fire and Rescue are one entity. Rehobeth Fire responded but no EMS.

Heather Thomas is Captain of the rescue division of Rehobeth Fire - Rescue. Ultimately it comes under one command being the Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief.

It has become the “norm” rather than the exception that Rehobeth Rescue is not making their medical emergency calls.

Heather is the mother of two, runs with Slocomb Rescue, works at Pilcher’s Ambulance, and attending school at Wallace College.

While applauded that Rehobeth Fire - Rescue has a brand new Ambulance. They have good equipment. Even a auto unit to do chest compressions on someone when CPR in progress.

But if Rehobeth Fire - Rescue is going to be in the Ambulance business the time has way passed for Heather to get it together or step aside.

Past time for membership to force it.

It is not fair to Houston County Sheriff 911 to waste their time in paging Rehobeth Rescue on a patient not breathing, wait two minutes or more then dispatch Pilcher’s.

At the very least Rehobeth owes the respect to the community to: (1) answer your calls, or (2) notify Houston County Sheriff 911 not to waste the time in paging Rehobeth, no crew available. That is called “management”. (3) notify Pilcher Ambulance that Rehobeth will have no crew and Pilcher knows they need to be ready to answer the call.

But because of sorry management, when a call comes in that is in the Rehobeth Rescue territory, Houston County Sheriff 911 has to tone out Rehobeth Rescue...wait for them to answer. Then tone out Rehobeth Rescue to the second time...wait for them to answer.

Then call Pilcher Ambulance, give them the information. They in turn dispatch their ambulance.

A few days ago Pilchers had to answer, almost simultaneously...(1) Rehobeth’s call on Highway 203. (2) Rehobeth’s call at Center Stage (3) Pilcher’s call at Cowboy’s.

Thanks to Joey and Debbie Pilcher for having the people’s backs. The people do not realize what all you do in order to have medical coverage at an instant.

REHOBETH FIRE - RESCUE MEMBERSHIP

The time has passed that the membership of Rehobeth Fire - Rescue get Rescue to performing their job. You are equally responsible because you know it is failing to meet the obligations and doing nothing.
