Resisting Arrest From Officers Lands One in Jail

On Tuesday August 22, 2017 officers with the Marianna Police Department encountered a subject at Three Rivers Apartments known to have an active warrant and an active trespass warning for the complex. The subject gave officers a wrong name.
The subject was known to officers as Dimitrius Johnson-Luna. As officers attempted to detain Johnson-Luna, he began to resist arrest from officers.
Officers were able to place Johnson –Luna under arrest. Upon searching Johnson-Luna he was found to be in possession of capsules containing Flakka (Alpha PVP), powder cocaine, and Marijuana. Once in the Patrol vehicle Johnson-Luna began asking for medical treatment as he had swallowed some capsules containing Flakka.
Johnson-Luna was transported to Jackson Hospital where he was medically cleared shortly after and then transported to Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.

Giving a False Name
Resisting an Officer Without Violence
Possession of Marijuana (Less than 20 grams)

Possession of Controlled Substance (Alpha PVP/Flakka)
Tampering with Evidence
