An Officer recently observed an SUV pulling a camper trailer with no safety chains attached.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver advised that he did not have his driver’s license on him.  While the Officer was checking the information, the driver, 43 year old Justin Rafael Diaz of Ft. Walton Beach, fled on foot.

According to the passenger, Diaz fled because of drugs being in the vehicle.  An inventory of the vehicle revealed multiple pills of Xanax, a small amount of Marijuana, Methamphetamine, needles, and a set of scales.  Diaz has yet to be located, but charges are pending.  The passenger was not charged.
