SATURDAY In Cottonwood - Car Explodes With Gas Cans

COTTONWOOD: On Saturday Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched emergency units to the 15000 block of Cottonwood Road to a vehicle fire.
Cottonwood Fire, Cottonwood Rescue, Cottonwood Police and Houston County sheriff units responded. Dothan - Houston County Emergency Managementnalso responded.
The Driver of the vehicle received 40 to 50 percent burns. Cottonwood Rescue requested advanced life support from Dothan Fire.
Dothan Fire and Cottonwood Rescue met at Gene Terry Road and Cottonwood Road. Dothan Fire assisted Cottonwood with the patient and transported to SAMC.
The vehicle had gas cans inside and the driver is believed to have been smoking.
