DOTHAN: This past Thursday evening a Dothan Police Officer heard a vehicle crash on South Saint Andrews Street. The officer was seconds away when the accident happened.
Paramedics at Pilcher Ambulance heard the motorcycle and then the crash.
As the Police Officer approached the scene the helmet was a good distance from where the motorcycle rider and his bike were. The helmet came off the driver. The apparent cause of the crash was speed and striking a telephone pole.
The driver was dead in the scene.
