Dothan, Oct. 4, 2017. Southeast Alabama Community Theatre continues a holiday tradition in the Wiregrass by announcing auditions for the dinner theatre production of A Christmas Story. All nine year-old Ralphie wants for Christmas is a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle with a compass in the stock and "this thing which tells time." The beloved story, based on the humorous writings of author Jean Shepherd and viewed on television by millions every Christmas Eve, returns to the SEACT stage in a holiday dinner theatre for the whole family. Ralphie spends most of his time dodging a bully and dreaming of his ideal gift. But every adult in his life says he'll shoot his eye out! This production is directed by Chris Manasco, and sponsored by SunSouth Bank.
