Search Warrant Lands One in Jail

On July 13, 2018 Officers of the Marianna Police Department and members of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant for the manufacturing of illegal narcotics at the address of 2940 Park St., Marianna, FL 32446. In the search warrant, Joshua Daniel Etheridge, was named as the target individual.
In the search of the residence, officers discovered that Etheridge created a clandestine lab utilized for extracting THC from cannabis. Inside the clandestine lab were items commonly used to extract the THC and also items that could hold the finished product. These items consisted of a large quantity of partially ground up cannabis, several cardboard cases that contained cans of butane, reaction vessels, a vacuum chamber with a heating element, coffee filters, tools used to scrape and mix the final product, digital scales, and a large bag of small rubber containers.
In Etheridge’s bedroom, inside of a safe, was U.S. currency and six one quart mason jars that contained cannabis. The cannabis was in bud form and was not partially ground up like the large quantity used in the extracting process. Also located in Etheridge’s bedroom were seven boxes of fold top sandwich bags which are commonly used to package the cannabis for sale. Also located in Etheridge’s bedroom was .45 caliber Glock handgun. The total weight of all cannabis is over 1 ½ lbs.
Etheridge was arrested for the above charges and transported to Jackson CountyCorrectional Facility to await first appearance for a copy of his booking photograph contact Jackson County Correctional Facility 850-482-9651.
