AUBURN: While I understand the reasoning behind the SEC rule of keeping spectator’s off the field following a sporting event, I have a suggestion for the SEC officials; instead of the $ 250,000.00 fine on Auburn why don’t you try and stop the fans.
Following the victory of Auburn over Alabama the fans took to the field. That is a violation of the SEC Officials which sit in a room making decisions of which they can not enforce.
Probably not one single fan cares about the fine. In fact in about 20 minutes the Auburn fans would raise that fine money. And again the fans do not have to pay it.
But can you imagine what force would be required to stop the determined, excited fans from entering the field following the game?

AUBURN – Auburn will be billed $250,000 for quoting Tigers radio play-by-play broadcaster Rod Bramlett “not keeping them off the field tonight”.
The Southeastern Conference announced Saturday evening Auburn will be fined for a violation of the league’s access to competition area policy, due to fans entering the field following its 26-14 win over No. 1 Alabama.
