Sentencing On Wednesday For Former Gordon Mayor Elbert Melton, Jr.

HOUSTON COUNTY:     On Wednesday 20th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Kevin Moulton will hand down the sentence to former Gordon Mayor Elbert Melton, Jr.


Melton was convicted last month in a jury trial of 12 peers in the case of Absentee Voter Fraud. Judge Moulton scheduled sentencing date for February 20th at 8:30 AM.


Immediately upon conviction Melton forfeited the Office of Mayor of Gordon. The Mayor Pro Tem became Mayor. The new Mayor is facing misdemeanor charges for Criminal Trespassing. Do not remember the details because Gordon has been the king of drama.


Melton still faces another felony charge in relationship to a old Gordon Police Car he is alleged to have transferred to himself.
