DOTHAN. . .Malcolm L. Conner, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday afternoon, November 11, 2017, in Noland Hospital. He was 80.


 


            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 14, 2017, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan, with Reverend Buddy Hood officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.


 


            Mr. Conner was born in Dale County, near Newton, and lived in Dothan all his adult lifetime. He attended Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Conner co-owned and operated Conner Paint & Body Shop in Dothan. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his father, John L. Conner, his mother, Eddie Laura Walker, his step-father, Coy Walker, a granddaughter, Cynthia Conner, and two brothers, Charles Kenneth Conner and William Arnice Conner.


 


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Martha Love Conner; a daughter, Malinda Turner (Eddie), Wicksburg; a son, Jerry Conner, Webb; a brother, Gordon Walker (Glenda), Dothan;  five grandchildren, Heather George (David), Jeremy Conner (Jennifer), Dewayne Conner (Kacie), Nick Conner (Amber) and Tierney Conner; seven great-grandchildren, Kaden, Madalyn, Allen, Jayton, Paxton, Rinoa and Katie.


 


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Jim Wright, Kenny Shelton, Jim Elmore, Rickey Stokes, Nathan Toro and Bill Tingle.
