Several Pounds of Heroin, Cocaine Discovered During I-65 Traffic Stop

CONECUH CO., AL (WSFA) - A Conecuh County Sheriff K9 Orion and his handler discovered several pounds of heroin and cocaine during a recent traffic stop on Interstate 65.
According to Conecuh County Sheriff Randy Brock, over the weekend K9 Orion and deputy stopped a passenger bus on I-65 near Evergreen. The bus was reportedly headed to Georgia.
During the course of the traffic stop, deputies and agents with the 17th Judicial Drug Task Force located five pounds of heroin and around 16 pounds of cocaine on the bus.
Brock says this is just one of a few drug busts that the office has been involved with recently.
