HOUSTON COUNTY:
During the storm the primary radio system of the Houston County Sheriff Department is now inoperable. The State Of AlabamaIs under a State Of Emergency declaration.
They are operating on the City of Dothan system that does not cover the entire Houston County. This county has an emergency situation and not one single person will go to Alabama Governor KAY Ivey and get her to sign a specific declaration to get the new system in place and operational.
And a deputy or municipal law Enforcement officer in this county has the potential of getting killed or a citizen does without adequate two way radio coverage.
I am sure when the law Enforcement officer gets killed (1) law Enforcement will wear tape across their badges for one week (2) the second week they will talk about good ‘ol Joe and (3) the third week they won’t remember his or her name.
The stage has been set to go directly to Alabama Governor KAY Ivey to get the radio system under the State Of Emergency. I beg you to stop procrastinating, stop listening to those who do not know, and protect our officers.
If not someone will be explaining the blood on their hands.
