Shooting in Hartford over the Weekend

GENEVA COUNTY: A shooting at a field party this weekend occurred near Hartford AL, has left one teenager seriously wounded. According to Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms two people were fighting at the party when someone pulled out a gun and fired a shot.



The 17 year Old bystander from Opp AL, was watching the fight and got struck in the neck by a bullet. He was taken to an Enterprise AL, hospital and then later transferred to another hospital for surgery in Mobile AL.



Sheriff Helms says that social media has been a huge help with identifying the suspects in the case and warrants are being obtained for their arrests. The investigation is still ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
