Signal at Alabama Highway 605 and Fortner turned on flashing today

DOTHAN, Ala. – Beginning today the updated signal at Alabama Highway 605 and Fortner Street will be in flashing mode for approximately one week, per standard practice. 


 


Alabama Highway 605 will have yellow flashing lights except for the turn signal which will be flashing red.  Fortner Street will have red flashing lights.  Motorists traveling on Fortner Street and those turning left onto Fortner Street will have the stop condition and should proceed when Alabama Highway 605 is clear.  


 


Improvements including installing left and right turn lanes on Alabama Highway 605 and left turn lanes on Fortner Street began last year.   


 


Motorists should expect delays, plan accordingly and are urged to use caution when traveling through a work zone.
