JEFFERSON COUNTY ( Birmingham ) AL: Congratulations to the people of Jefferson County Alabama, Birmingham, for finally having a "man" instead of a political prostitute as your Sheriff.

The District Attorney sent a letter about electronic bingo. The Sheriff said he was concerned about violent crime not bingo.

Jefferson County ( Birmingham ) has become the murder capital of Alabama. The people sent former Jefferson County Mike Hale home because he was a failure as Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the County. Crime was rampant and Birmingham Police Department was a failure in getting it under control.

When Pettaway made his statement Alabama Attorney General was critical of Sheriff Pettaway. But the Sheriff fired back at Attorney General Steve Marshall ob being silent on violent crime. And Sheriff Pettaway’s remarks are echoed across this state.

WHERE IS STEVE MARSHALL ON STOPPING THE VIOLENT CRIME IN JEFFERSON COUNTY?

At the current time Steve Marshall’s head is up former Alabama Governor Bob Riley’s buttocks. He needs to pull it out so he can see the real picture.

Sheriff Pettway hit back at Marshall in a strongly worded letter Friday, saying he was “disappointed in the way some of our elected officials have conducted themselves” and accusing the attorney general of being “strangely silent when it comes to the violent crimes and poverty in the county.”

The sheriff was responding to a March 13 letter from Marshall earlier this month where the attorney general reminded Pettway of his enforcement role as sheriff. In that letter, Marshall requested Pettway advise him, Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr and Bessemer Cutoff District Attorney Lynneice Washington if he learns of any electronic bingo halls opening or planning to open in the county.
