Eufaula, AL — The United Way Campaign recently recognized the Sparks Campus for turning in this year’s donations during the UW’s Pacesetter Campaign. The College was one of four locations recognized during the United Way Campaign Kickoff Bus Tour. Jessica Procter, Miss Alabama 2017, greeted employees during the stop and presented the Sparks Campus with a “Be The One” poster for their donation efforts.

Sparks Campus employees donated $4,623.28 to the United Way this year, representing 94% of the campuses’ employees.

United Way campaign chair Terri Ricks, Student Support Services, added an extra incentive for those contributing to this year’s UW Campaign. Employees participating in the drive were eligible to win one of two prizes for each drawing.

The first drawing was for everyone who donated. Jane French was the winner of a jewelry set and Susan Childs won two Sunday buffets from The Water’s Edge at Lakepoint. The second drawing included names of those who gave $120 or more. Lisa Peterson won a jewelry set and Jennifer Grant was the lucky winner of a three day, two-night stay at a one-bedroom cottage at Lakepoint.
