Special Event Coming to Landmark Park

See Landmark Park on the big screen! On Feb.18 at 3 p.m., AMC Dothan 6 Theater (3489 Ross Clark Circle) will host a viewing of “The Staying Kind,” a short film about a Civil War bride’s experiences on the home front.

This film was shot at Landmark Park and was written, directed and stars Dothan native Rachel Hendrix. Rachel will attend the screening and will be available to talk with visitors. Seating is limited and advance tickets are required.  

Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased by calling Landmark Park at 334-794-3452. Proceeds benefit Landmark Park. (Film runtime is 25 minutes)

Landmark Park is a 135-acre natural science and history museum located on the outskirts of Dothan. Features of the park include nature trails, a planetarium, playground, picnic areas, an elevated boardwalk, a turn-of-the-century farmstead with sheep, chickens, cows and other farm animals and crops typical of an 1890s farm.  In addition, the park includes a drugstore with operating soda fountain, one-room school, general store, and historic church, all preserved from the surrounding area.
