SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN DALE...SOUTHERN
COFFEE...CENTRAL GENEVA AND NORTHWESTERN HOUSTON COUNTIES UNTIL 615
PM CDT...
At 526 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles southwest of New Brockton, or 10 miles south of Elba, moving
east at 35 mph.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Daleville, Elba, Geneva, Enterprise, Hartford, Level Plains, Samson,
New Brockton, Clayhatchee, Kinston, Coffee Springs, Chancellor, Perry
Store, Kellys Crossroads, Carl Folsom A/p, Lytle, Lucile, Marl, Ino
and Turner Crossroads.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
