State Causes Some Houston County Probate Satelite Offices To Be Closed Temporarily

A change in how car tags are processed has triggered at least a temporary adjustment to the operation of the Houston County Probate Office’s satellite tag offices.
Judge Patrick Davenport said the Alabama Department of Revenue has initiated a plan where new decals for car tags will be printed in each county probate office beginning in 2019. The new labels include both the month and year, reducing the number of decals required on each tag from two to one.
