What does that look like?
A Board that leads has done the work to set clear policy and funding priorities.
It is a Board that knows what qualities it expects in it’s next superintendent, not one that waits for the next superintendent to set policy for them.
A Board that leads develops a strong vision and communicates it clearly.
It expects excellence from our school leadership and is clear about what school excellence should look like.
We can use a strategic planning model similar to the City Commission’s. School/District improvement is a huge undertaking; but together -with focused effort and serious conversations with teachers, parents, school leaders and community leaders - We Can Do This!
I've done my homework. I've built the important relationships and I'm truly ready to get down to business with real ideas on Day 1
