Suspicious Person Call Lands One in Jail

On February 21, 2019, at 3:00 AM, the Enterprise Police Department responded to the 400 Block of Huntington Drive on a call for a suspicious person attempting to gain entry into vehicles. Responding Patrol Officers made contact with the suspect, who attempted to flee on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Patrol Officers apprehended the suspect without further incident.
Patrol Officers discovered the suspect had two handguns in his possession. Patrol Officers arrested and charged Jumirrus Malik Flowers, age 22, of Enterprise, AL with Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon without a Permit. Flowers was transported to the Coffee County Jail after arrest.
After further investigation, Officers discovered one of the handguns the suspect had in his possession was stolen during an auto burglary in the area. Officers obtained an arrest warrant on Flowers for Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle and served the warrant on Flowers while he was incarcerated at the Coffee County Jail.
