Suspicious Vehicle Call LandsTwo in Jail in Marianna

On October 26 2018 at 6:30 pm, Officers with the Marianna and Davie Police Departments were investigating a suspicious vehicle on Kelson Ave. While speaking with Christopher Minhinnett, Officers conducted a safety pat down of him.
Minihinnet took a glass container from his pocket and threw it across the parking lot. The glass container shattered and Officer located a small amount of methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass methamphetamine smoking pipe and less than 20 grams of marijuana.
Minhinnett told Officers he had traveled from Texas to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael.
A witness came forward and told Officers he had seen Minhinnett climb the damaged fence surrounding the back of Rahal Miller car dealership.
Minhinnett and Scott were arrested on various narcotics charges and booked into the Jackson County Correction Facility.
