Talladega Races with Friends

HOUSTON COUNTY:    This weekend I have had the pleasure of attending Talladaga Races With one of my sons, John Curtis, and his friends.


No matter if I see the races or not, I enjoy the camping on the BAMA RV Camper, the time spent with John Curtis and his friends.


He has a terrific friend base from many walks of life.


One of his friends and I got into a conversation about a group of mutual friends we have. Those friends are the family of A.B. And Runell Clark - and being Alan and Marty Clark’s family.


We both expressed that you could not find any better people then all of the Clark family.


She told of dealing with Dr. Ken Clark and the care of her dog. Being friends with Alan, Boyd and Devars.


I told her that I had the opportunity of working with Sheriff A.B. And Runnel Clark. That beginning in 1977 working with them at Houston County Sheriff Department.


It was interesting our two stories that circled back to one common theme - you will not find any better, down to earth, pleasant and genuine people then that of the family of A.B. And Runnel Clark.


As of a family they gave so much to the safety and security of the people of Houston County. It was Sheriff A,B. Clark that hired Donald Valenza who now serves as Houston County Sheriff. A dream Donald never visioned when Sheriff Clark hired him in 1979.


Thanks to the Clark family for giving me my start. Thanks to the Clark family for the over 3,500 people they empLoy witH DSI.


More importantly thanks for the lesson they demonstrate of being genuine people.
