OZARK:     This Sunday morning as we all attend church and are giving thanks, I wish to thank the membership of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark and Pastor Dr. Scott Thompson.

This week the membership and Dr. Scott Thompson prepared enough meals for 150 or more law enforcement and emergency personnel in Ozark and invited them to the church for lunch.

Ozark Police Chief Marlos Walker, Captain Peterman from Ozark Police Department, local Alabama State Troopers and other officers and emergency responders enjoyed a delicious meal.

THe meal included BBQ, baked beans, sweet potatoes, Cole slaw, bread and banana pudding AND peach cobbler.

The membership of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark and Dr. Thompson gives thanks to GOD for those who accept the calling to serve their community as a law enforcement officer, a fireman, an emergency medical person. They appreciate the sacrifice that each individual makes in their calling and the sacrifice each of their family members make in allowing them to serve.

Ozark-Dale County is a safe community. Under the leadership of Ozark Police Chief Marlos Walker, Ozark Fire Chief Phillip Prince, Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson and Dale County Sheriff Chief Deputy Mason Bynum, all municipal police chiefs, volunteer fire and EMS, Ozark EMS, Alabama State Troopers under command statewide of Ozark’s own Colonel Charles Ward and local Captain Tracy Nelson, Ozark-Dale County is kept safe and under control.

More importantly, they are a phone call away, personally, 24/7.

Dr. Thompson and the membership of Ridgecrest Baptist Church realize and appreciate that. And each and everyone who serves the community are under prayer guard of the church andn pastor.

Next time they hope more patrol staff has time to stop by and eat or pick up a plate. Becuase they realize while great leaders, YOU are the boots on the streets. And they are thankful for you.

GOD BLESS each who serves. GOD bless Dr. Thompson and Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark for taking time and effort to honor the men and women.
