DOTHAN:    The 9th Annual Sarah Elizabeth Goree Memorial Boston Butt sell is underway. The family and team are cooking and smoke is in the air.

This year THE LOCATION HAS CHANGED to Ross Clark Circle and Highway 52 West across from Lowe’s. Flooring America and BAMA RV are sponsors of the location and warm quarters for the Goree’s and team members to stay in.

On Thursday the boston butts and ribs will be ready. And let me tell you something - the Goree Family and friends know how to cook the boston butts and ribs. In fact when our daughter Emily and Josh got married, it was the Goree Family that we called to cook the boston butts.

Sarah’s life was taken while she was in Dothan High School from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident here in Dothan. For the past nine years Sarah’s parents, Bill and Lisa Goree and her brother and sister in law, Seth and Erin Goree, have worked to raise money for the child advocacy center. And they have raised thousand’s of dollars for the center. 

Their mission was to help others and do so in memory of their beautiful daughter Sarah.

Starting Thursday through Saturday come out to Ross Clark Circle and Highway 52 West ( Hartford Highway ) and purchase a boston butt or slab of ribs. Help honor the memory of Sara and help the Child Advocacy Center.

From experience a couple of things; the food is great, you will not meet any better people in the world than the Goree family, and you will see a host of friends that devote their time and energies in making this a huge success. The Goree family attracts a great group of friends that will work and make this a success. Their personality and friendship is contagious!
