On September 27, 2017, a Deputy with Patrol Division of the Jackson County Sheriff's Department was patrolling CR 286 (Blueberry Drive), just South of Sneads, FL. He observed a vehicle traveling South and the driver of the vehicle commit a traffic infraction. The Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, at which time the vehicle accelerated rapidly. The vehicle then entered the Northbound lane, still traveling South. The driver of the vehicle continued driving Southbound in the Northbound lane with a disregard for other motorist. The vehicle then appeared to stall and came to abrupt stop.

Upon making contact with the driver, identified as being Jeffrey Page. He told the Deputy that his Driver's License was suspended. While speaking to Page, the Deputy could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the interior of the vehicle. Page made several furtive movements under the driver's seat and the front passenger's seat. He was detained and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.

During the search of the vehicle the following items were found; Under the driver's seat a metal container that contained a clear plastic baggie with a crystallized substance inside. The substance did show favorable signs of being Methamphetamine, when field tested. In the front passenger area the following items were found, a plastic container was located with marijuana residue inside. A clear piece of tubing that was protruding through the top of a bottle cap (commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine). The tubing contained a white residue presumed to methamphetamine. A green bag that had a coffee filter with more methamphetamine inside it. There were also three glass pipes that contained methamphetamine residue located in this area.

In the rear seat of the vehicle the following items were located; disposable ice packs that were cut open, two funnels containing methamphetamine residue, a clear glass plate containing methamphetamine residue, additional tubing to act as a gas generator during the manufacturing of methamphetamine, a metal container of camp fuel, a bottle of drain cleaner, a bottle of ammonium nitrate and two liquid “droppers”. The items mentioned in this paragraph are all common with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

At the conclusion of the probable cause search, Jeffrey Page was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
