DOTHAN:    This message is to all of the "registered" voters in the city limits of Dothan Alabama.

TUESDAY, August 1 - is a very important day for the City of Dothan. And it is one that could be dangerous for the future of Dothan Alabama should the "responsible" voters of the City of Dothan fail to go vote.

DOTHAN MAYOR:

There is only ONE legitimate choice in the race for Mayor of Dothan - and that choice is Mark Saliba.  He is the only "legitimate" choice to  move Dothan into the future. Ruth Page - Nelson, the challenger, would be a disaster to the growth and prosperity of the City of Dothan and the wiregrass area.

No matter what district you live in, each vote counts.

DOTHAN SCHOOL BOARD CHAIRMAN:

Again, there is only one choice in this race. That choice is Mike Schmitz.  Mike Schmitz has the passion to move the education of the children to infinity and beyond. His famous trade mark words GO! GO! GO! is the way education will go under his leadership and direction. But you need to elect him a School Board who will support the right moves. The challenger in this race is not credible what so ever. Anyone who does not vote for Mike Schmitz in this race does not care about the future of Dothan Alabama.

DISTRICT 1 DOTHAN COMMISSION:

This race has four people running. The incumbent, Kevin Dorsey, stepped up to the plate when elected, and has served the people in District 1 with honor, integrity, and with the growth and prosperity of the people of District 1 in mind.

Larry Matthews served four years and was defeated by the registered voters of District 1. Oh, twice!

DISRICT 1 DOTHAN SCHOOL BOARD:

Two candidates in this race, incumbent Brenda Guilford and challenger Donald Hogans. In this race Brenda Guilford has served several terms. There is some questionable activities in her family receiving special employment privileges during her tenure on the school board. This election might be time to make a change in that seat.

Mr. Donald Hogans has supported projects behind the scenes. And selecting him to serve for four years could be a wise decision for the children's future in this city.

DISTRICT 2 DOTHAN COMMISSION:

This race has been quiet. The incumbent, Amos Newsome, has created a lot of waves in this term. Most of which is the absentee ballot investigation and convictions in the race four years ago.

Then the assault involving WTVY Reporter Ken Curtis. An illegitimate, illegal idiot of a Judge, Carl Chamblee from Trussville ( who is  nothing more than a dumb ass wearing a black robe) convicted Commissioner Newsome.

( The Trussville Judge is not because he convicted Newsome it is because he is a dumb ass for real ).

Ken Curtis pushed and got into the personal space of Newsome and was warned so the reaction of Newsome was something Ken pushed for.

All of the candidates in this race, I think the District will be served well.

DISTRICT FOUR DOTHAN COMMISSION:

Incumbent District 4 Commissioner John Ferguson is the only choice in this race. FERGIT Critt Snellgrove.

After about 7 attempts Critt finally made a two year term as Dothan Commissioner. After two years the registered voters of District 4 had enough of Critt and did not re-elect him. And Critt did dirty games to get elected then and he has done dirty games this time again. FERGIT CRITT and Dothan would best be served by a sounding victory vote for John Ferguson.

DISTRICT 4 DOTHAN SCHOOL BOARD:

Incumbent Jimmy Addison retired from the Dothan City Schools and went to work with a private school. Time for some fresh ideas and innovative ideas.

Brett Strickland will bring to the table some new thinking and probably would be the better choice for School Board.

DISTRICT 5 DOTHAN SCHOOL BOARD:

This race the incumbent did not seek re-election. Two people are running in this race. The choice that would best serve the children, from my research, is Amy Bonds.

Again fresh ideas, passion, and desire to serve.

MOST IMPORTANTLY TO ALL THE REGISTERED VOTERS

DO NOT - DO NOT - DO NOT

HAVE APATHY IN THIS ELECTION. THE CITY WIDE ELECTIONS OF MAYOR AND DOTHAN SCHOOL BOARD CHAIRMAN ARE TO IMPORTANT TO LEAVE TO CHANCE THAT YOU FEEL IN NO WAY COULD MARK SALIBA AND MIKE SCHMITZ NOT WIN.

No matter what district you live in, each vote counts.
