Traffic Stop Lands a Marianna Man in Jail

On Thursday, August 2, 2018, at approximately 11:36 PM, a Deputy with the Field Services Divison was patrolling the area of Round Lake on Hwy 231 when a vehicle was observed to be traveling with an obstructed tag.  A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and contact was made with the driver, Lucas Morris.


  During the course of the traffic stop, it was determined that Morris' license was suspended and that he was aware of the suspension.  The Deputy also learned that Morris was presently on probation and was in violation of his mandatory curfew.


Morris was placed under arrest without further incident and transported to Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
