On 08/07/2018 a deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford truck for a traffic violation in the area of Hwy 90 and Candy Horse Circle. The tag displayed on the vehicle came back to a silver Jeep.
The driver of the vehicle was identified to be Timothy Smith. During the course of the traffic stop it was determined that Timothy was knowingly operating the vehicle with a suspended D.L. And had also purposely removed a tag from another vehicle and placed it on his after it had previously been seized by the State of Florida.
At the conclusion of the stop Timothy was placed under arrest for knowingly driving while license suspended or revoked and Tag attached not assigned. Timothy was incarcerated in the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
