Traffic Stop Lands One in Jail on Drug Charges

On March 4, 2018, Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black Honda Civic for an equipment violation. Consent to search the vehicle was subsequently obtained.
Inside the passenger’s (Locosta Gay) purse Officers located a glass pipe commonly used to ingest Methamphetamine and a container containing Clonozepam pills which she could not provide a prescription for.
Gay was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correction Facility to await first appearance. She is being charged with Possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
