Traffic Stop Lands One in Jail on Drug Charges

On May 15, 2018 at 11:15 pm, Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted traffic stop on a red Ford F-150 for an equipment violation on Lafayette St and Noland St.


During the course of the traffic stop, consent to search the vehicle was obtained from the driver, Dustin Green.  Inside the vehicle, Officers located an amount of Methamphetamine and a syringe which had recently been used to inject methamphetamine.


Green was arrested on the above charges and transported to the Jackson County Corrections Facility to await first appearance.


Chief Baggett urges the citizens of Marianna to report suspicious behavior and activities to the Marianna Police Department at 850-526-3125.

Charges: Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of paraphernalia
