On 7/8/18 the Uniform Patrol Division along with a JCSO K-9 Unit conducted a probable cause Traffic Stop on Highway 231 for a Traffic Violation. Upon contact with the driver, he acted very nervous, and hesitated upon exiting the vehicle. K-9 “solo” was deployed for an External Free Air Sniff of the vehicle.
A positive alert was shown by the K-9. A subsequent search revealed a quantity of suspected Methamphetamine, a pipe used to commonly smoke Methamphetamine, and numerous rounds of Ammunition. The driver was placed under arrest without incident. Once at the County Correctional Facility, the driver was found to have another “pipe” in his possession.
