Traffic Stop lands One in Jail on Drug Charges

On September 15, 2018, Officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a red Isuzu pickup truck for not displaying a registration tag.
The Driver, identified as Louis Sylvester, was attempting to hand the officer his Driver’s License, Officer’s observed Sylvester attempting to conceal a white pill. The pill was taken and examined and determined to be a Scheduled IV controlled substance.
A computer check of Sylvester revealed that his driver’s license was revoked.
Sylvester was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correction Facility to await first appearance.
